Honorary Send Off for Harry Papaila
Harry is going to Florida for awhile to stay with family. Fellowship following liturgy will be in honor of Harry’s many faithful years at St. John’s. Fr. John will present Harry a Gramota award on behalf of the Archbishop.
Parish Bonfire Social
The Hughes Family is hosting a parish bonfire at their home directly following Divine Liturgy in lieu of the normal fellowship meal. Food will be provided, feel free to bring drinks of your choice. There is a creek for children to play (change of clothes in case is recommended).
Annual Apple Cookoff!
In honor of St. Euphrosynos, we will have our annual apple cookoff. Bake an apple themed dessert or make a savory apple dish and enter to win a gift card! Speak to Matushka Nadia to officially participate, and to ask any logistical questions.
Parish Picnic
At 3pm, in place of Vespers, we will have a short Molieben Prayer service at the Pavilion.
Holy Communion Talk
During the fellowship meal, Fr. John will again discuss the topic of stewardship, but from the perspective of our relationship to the Holy Mysteries of the faith. Specifically, Fr. will talk about the importance of Holy Communion.
